The practice.

The consulting work and the creative work share a throughline: access to knowledge and awareness of experience. Whether I'm building a growth strategy for an agency or researching the slave-holding networks of 18th-century New York, the method is the same — listen closely, follow the evidence, make visible what was hidden.

Research / Public History

Slavers of New York

Ongoing

A public history research project excavating the hidden slave-holding past of New York City. Tracing the names, addresses, and networks of enslavers who lived in what is now modern Manhattan and Brooklyn — and making that history visible, searchable, and undeniable.

Research / Food Anthropology

The Diabetic Anthropological Cookbook

In Development

An anthropological study of food, culture, and chronic illness. The cookbook examines how diabetic people across cultures navigate the intersection of medical necessity and culinary tradition — what happens when the food that raised you is the food that could hurt you.

Visual Practice

Photography

Documentary and editorial photography rooted in observation. Portraits of place, people, and the textures of everyday life — primarily shot in New York, Eastern Europe, and the Caribbean.

Essays / Research

Writing

Essays and research writing on identity, cultural systems, growth, and the politics of visibility. Published and forthcoming work exploring what it means to build something real in a world optimized for noise.
